Barcelona Metro Line 9

Metro Line 9 is Barcelona’s newest underground railway line. It extends approximately 27 kilometers from Badalona to El Prat Airport. The third section, from "Sagrera Meridiana" station to "Zona Universitària" station, includes 13 stations, six of which will link Line 9 to other existing metro and railway lines. The tunnel holds two rail tracks spaced by an intermediate slab. Segments are reinforced with conventional reinforcement (rebars) and steel fibers, providing outstanding performance and durability. Face stability, face loss, and settlement minimization are controlled in fractured and faulty conditions. 
 
TYLin served as Work Controller, assisting the Project Manager with construction. We were responsible for checking and monitoring designs and supporting the client and engineers in decision-making.
