With firm family roots in Texas and a 25-year career in the aviation industry, Josh will spearhead TYLin’s commitment and expansion in aviation excellence across the Lone Star State and central U.S. Josh will leverage his extensive expertise in airport program and project management, master planning and layout, airside and landside planning and design, inter-agency and stakeholder coordination, and environmental assessment for the benefit of our clients.

Josh has had a passion for aviation from his first flight on a Boeing 747 as a young boy to his teenage years working baggage at John Wayne Airport. He holds a degree in Aviation Administration from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings. His career highlights include working on 65 aviation projects at more than 40 airports nationwide, ranging from major hubs to remote rural airstrips and everything in between. Recent roles include Senior Aviation Project Manager and Senior Airport Planner overseeing airport projects at San Antonio International, George Bush Intercontinental, and Houston Hobby. He has also completed projects at Chicago O’Hare International, Los Angeles International, Seattle-Tacoma International, and Philadelphia International.

“I am excited to welcome Josh, a well-known industry leader, to our Texas-based aviation operations,” says TYLin’s Senior Vice President and Aviation Sector Leader Peter Aarons. “With his established reputation and excellent program experience, he will champion our growth initiatives throughout the central U.S., specifically in Texas. Our clients in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio will benefit from his leadership, technical skills, and local knowledge, ensuring the success of future projects.”

Josh has a well-established reputation in the field. Airport Business Magazine recognized him among the Top 40 Under 40, a testament to his outstanding contributions to the industry. His dedication extends beyond his professional achievements. Committed to inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals, Josh has been an expert panelist for his alma mater’s aviation program’s senior seminar course, an adjunct professor, and a program advisor.

Hailing from families with deep Texas roots, Josh and his wife, a Texas native and graduate of the University of Texas, have been thrilled to make their home in Austin since 2020, allowing Josh to network and become intimately ingrained in Texas’ aviation needs.
